BMEN Programs
Participate in Our BMEN Programs
Monthly Meetings
BMEN brings Black men together on the monthly basis in both in person and digital spaces. Black men are able to join a space where they can offer each other support and connect on a variety of topics in community.
Training Support for Group Leaders
BMEN offers training that builds black men’s capacity to create and maintain men’s groups. The training is experiential, and participants are given the opportunity to learn about facilitation, vulnerability, logistical concerns, and the maintenance of support groups. Participants receive ongoing support around securing communal or digital space for future men's groups that they may create.
Unique programs for Black men
BMEN supports the needs of black men by providing creative programs that allow black men to process their vulnerabilities and perspectives. Programs have included bringing black men together to explore themes in popular culture, including an event focused on discussing themes in Kendrick Lamar's Mr Morale and the Big Steppers

Bridging the Gap Series
BMEN and The Transgender Emergency fund host a first-ever of its kind series of events that brings straight Black men and Trans women together to have important dialogue around the stigmas and barriers that exist and inhibit their mutual understanding and impact their lives. The first event brought together 20 Black Trans women and Black men, giving space for the transwomen to share topics such as navigating life and the dangers of being a transwoman, taboos about their sexuality, and the need to live regular lives.
Sexual Assault Workshops
BMEN partners with community members and organizations run a six session workshop series for all men, as well as a space specifically for Black men. Men use this space to process experiences of causing sexual harm, as well as explore harm intervention strategies. Participants in the workshop also share stories, are introduced to circle practice and transformative justice frameworks, and engage in community accountability work related to sexual violence.
